I am the Assistant Sports Information Director and a Play-By-Play Broadcaster for UMass Boston, MIT and Boston Neighborhood Network.

 

I have experience broadcasting across a wide range of ages and skill levels, from the American Hockey League, to collegiate sports, all the way to mite hockey.  

My goal is to continue working in college athletics and to eventually become the voice of a Division I University. 

About Me

UMass Boston Athletics 
  • Created and facilitated the growth of the Beacons Broadcast Network: the video webcasting group that broadcasts 125+ UMass Boston Athletics Events a year 

Assistant Sports Information Director | May 2012-Present 

  • Provide play-by-play for 12 UMass Boston teams, including: soccer, volleyball, hockey, basketball, track & field, baseball, softball, lacrosse 

  • Serve as the primary contact for six Division III sports: Softball, Men's Hockey, Men's Soccer, Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Tennis 

  • Created, produced and hosted a desk show: "Beacons 360"

  • Manage groups of up to 15 students during athletic events

  • Fulfill various roles during games, including webcast director, event-manager, official scorer, public address announcer and photographer 

  • Edit and produce video highlights and features for the department's Youtube page 

  • Responsible for department's social media pages: Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook

  • Fill in for play-by-play and color commentary when needed

  • Served as the number two broadcaster on home games by providing play-by-play and color analysis 

  • Constructed the game notes for every home game
